10.1 Test conditions When the test conditions are not available。these shall be
determined upon agreement between the purchaser and supplier.
10.1.1 0il for tests
32 0r VG 46 0f Class
 The oil for the tests shall be the viscosity grade ISO VG
2 specified in JIS K 2213.
10.2 Test methods
The oil temperature shall be 50±5。C.
10.2.1 No load operation test    In the no load operation test.set the pressure of
the test circuit to the minimum operating pressure,and carry out running at the
minimum speed of Table l over the total stroke not applying any load to the
cylinder.The speed control of the cylinder shall be the meter.in circuit or bleed.

10.2.2 Durability test ’The durability test shall be carried out under the oper-
ating conditions of Table 33.Each part of the sample cylinder shall not be ad-
justed during the test.
    As t0,the switch,its electric circuit shall be operated at each sensing of the
piston.

Remarks l.The internal pressure of the cylinder shall not exceed the
    permissible maximum working pressure during the test.
2.For the cylinder without cushionin9,the running direction
 shall be changed over in front of the cylinder—stroke end.
10.2.3,P.....r....e....s....s...u.....r....e.......r...e.....s...i...s....t...a....n.....c....e.......t...e....s.—t— Carry out the pressure resistance test by
applying a pressure of l.5 times the nominal working pressure to the head end of
the cylinder。and l.5 times the nominal working pressure or l.05 times the maxi-
mum permissible working pressure,whichever is higher,to the rod end for 2 rain
0r more.
    VV-hen the pressure is applied to the head end,the test shall be carried out
by fixing the piston at the position where the piston has just reached the rod
cover;when the pressure is applied to the rod end,the test shall be carried out
by fixing the piston at an intermediate position near the stroke end.

10.2.4—Oil leak—age test The oil leakage test shall be made as describe i below:
(1) External oil leakage While performing the tests specified in l0.::.l,10.2.2
    and l0.2.3,measure the amount of the oil leaking from the wiper I art of the
    rod.
(2)—Internal 0—il leakage   While performing the test specified in l0.2.:;,apply
    the maximum permissible working pressure to one side of the pistc a,and
    measure the amount of the oil leaking through the piston to the ul)loaded
    pressure side.
10.2.5.T.....e....s.,..t......f...o....r......t...h......r...u.....s....t......e....ffi........c....i..e....n.....c...y—— Measure the output force at the nomi aal work--
ing pressure of a sample cylinder and calculate the ratio of it to the cyli:1der force
[Refer t0 2.Definitions(8)】.
1 1. Inspection
11.1 Type inspection The type inspection shall be carried out on the c=’linders
of new design or of remodellin9,which are considered as new design one;,for the
items enumerated below.The results shall meet the requirements of 5.·,0 8.

11.2—Delivery i—nspection The delivery inspection shall be carried out 0‘1 the
cylinders of the same type as those which have passed the type inspectioI l and
have been ascertained as to the satisfactory performance,for the items oi(1),(4),
(9)and(10)specified in ll.1.The inspection items,however,may be par;ially
omitted,sumect to an agreement between the purchaser and supplier.
12.Designation The cylinder should preferably be designated by using the
number(or the title)of the standard,and names or symbols of materials)f pack.
